Policy version: 1.0 · Last updated: 12 October 2026.

Chimundo (chimundo.com) is owned and operated by Kahunam Ltd. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this publication, why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it and your choices and rights.

Personal information means information that identifies you or can be linked to you, including online identifiers. For details of browser storage and how to change your choices, read our Cookie Policy.

Data controller and contact details

Kahunam Ltd is the data controller for the processing described here. Send privacy questions, requests or complaints through Kahunam’s contact form and identify Chimundo so we can route your message. Please provide only the information needed to explain your request.

Data we collect

InformationWhen we receive it
Comments and correspondenceDetails you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message and any information needed to respond. If comments are enabled, WordPress records the submitted comment, associated contact details, IP address and browser information for moderation.
Technical and security dataOur website and hosting services process IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps, browser information and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service.
Cookie preferencesYour saved consent categories, consent identifier, policy revision, timestamps and language, stored in the consent cookie on your device.
Optional Analytics dataAfter you accept Analytics: browser identifiers, pages visited, visit times, page interactions, browser/device information and approximate location.

How we get information and why we use it

You provide information when you send a message or submit a comment. Your browser supplies technical information when it requests pages and assets. Optional Google Analytics receives visit information only after you accept it. You can read articles without providing contact details or accepting Analytics; without enough information about a request, we may be unable to answer it.

PurposeBasis for processing
Measure visits and page use to improve the publicationYour consent. Analytics stays off until you accept, and you can withdraw through Cookie settings.
Deliver pages, remember your cookie choice and protect the websiteOur legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure publication and respecting visitors’ choices.
Respond to enquiries, manage corrections and moderate commentsOur legitimate interests in communicating with readers and maintaining useful, safe discussions.
Handle information-rights requests or comply with binding legal requirementsCompliance with legal obligations where these apply.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and page use. We keep Google signals, advertising personalisation and granular location/device collection disabled. Our integration omits URL query strings, search terms, referrer paths and form contents; we do not send names, email addresses or comment text as Analytics event data. We do not use this setup to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about readers.

Google processes connection information when your browser contacts its servers. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can reject Analytics without losing access to the articles. Withdrawal stops future collection by this integration; it does not automatically erase information Google has already received.

If you think we have mishandled your information, use Kahunam’s contact form and mention “privacy complaint” and Chimundo. Explain the concern in ordinary language; legal terminology is not needed. We will review it, investigate as appropriate and explain the outcome. If your message also contains an information-rights request, we will handle that part under the relevant process.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. You do not have to contact us before exercising that right. You may also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

We will update this page when our processing changes and show the revised date above. Where a change requires fresh consent, we will ask before starting that optional processing.
